Terrazzo Modern House Just an update on our new full time adventure doing terrazzo restoration in the Tampa Staint Petersburg, Clearwater area. We are starting a project for a mid century modern house. In this case, the terrazzo floors were covered with tile. The guys outsourced the tile removal and when the thin set was totaly removed they decovered that there were about 80 holes along each wall. At first they thought theproject was impossible, then they found our site and read about how we find filling in holes with the proper terrazzo chips an exciting challenge. Once we arrived at the house we too saw the holes, it was clear to us that there was a series of three tack strips that were probably installed over the last 50 years. We figured that out based on the fact that the holes were 4″ apart.
