Terrazzo Modern House
Just an update on our new full time adventure doing terrazzo restoration in the Tampa Staint Petersburg, Clearwater area. We are starting a project for a mid century modern house. In this case, the terrazzo floors were covered with tile. The guys outsourced the tile removal and when the thin set was totaly removed they decovered that there were about 80 holes along each wall. At first they thought theproject was impossible, then they found our site and read about how we find filling in holes with the proper terrazzo chips an exciting challenge.
Once we arrived at the house we too saw the holes, it was clear to us that there was a series of three tack strips that were probably installed over the last 50 years. We figured that out based on the fact that the holes were 4″ apart.

After 23 years doing historic terrazzo restoration in the Fort Lauderdale and Miami’s Art district region, South Beach, Colonial has decided to set up a location in the Tampa area. Ray Ortiz business partner is excited to be relocating one of our four teams to the Tampa area to service Sarasota, St Petersburg, Clearwater, and Brandon region. Over the last few years we have found ourselves having to do terrazzo restoration in Tampa, especially since some South Floridian clients have moved up to the area.
Our team of expert repair people know how important the expectation of invisible repair work is to the client. This is were other companies fail. Since we have specialized in historic restoration for over 20 our repair quality is the best.
